Whether you’re stepping onto a set for the first time or returning with decades of experience, this course equips you with essential knowledge to ensure a safer, more informed working environment across all departments of film, television, and digital production.

This online safety training is suitable for:

Course Overview

Designed to be time-efficient and cost-effective, the course runs for approximately 90 minutes, and is structured into easily digestible modules. Participants may complete the training in a single session or in multiple sittings, depending on their schedule.

Upon successful completion, learners are awarded a Level 2 Production Safety Passport, valid for five years and recognised across the UK film and television industry.

Core Learning Modules

The training content has been developed to reflect best practice and current UK legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. Topics include:

    How to ensure essential safety information is shared, understood and followed.

    What to do in the event of an accident or near miss, and how to report it.
  • Speaking Up: Encouraging a Culture of Safety
    Building confidence to challenge unsafe behaviour and protect yourself and others.
  • Health & Safety Abroad
    Key considerations for international shoots, from travel to local law compliance.
  • Mental Health Awareness
    Recognising stress and mental health issues in yourself and your colleagues.

The course has been independently certified to meet Continuous Professional Development (CPD) standards and is formally recognised by ScreenSkills.
